The Royal Empress' Tea House, is touted to be the best kept secret in the City of Prince George. Located at the fringe of the light Industrial area, it is ideally situated for both the working person as well as a destination for those who enjoy a leisurely cuppa. We start the day with a leisurely breakfast, followed by a period of relaxing morning tea... often complemented with  music for the soul. 

We serve original, home-baked Scones and Tea biscuits with authentic Devon Creme and preserves (not Jam) and a choice of any pot of Tea from almost 200 varieties. Our motto "By the Pot or Buy the Bag" is self explanatory for all our visitors as the enter our Tea House.

Our "Wall of Tea"  boasts over 200 varieties of Tea and Tea Blending components from places such as India - Assam and Nilgiri districts, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Kenya, South Africa, South America, Egypt, Turkey...to name a few, as well as many blends that are specific to the Empress' Tea house only.

Our customers enjoy browsing our wall while waiting for a table or simply as a break during their visit.

At 11:00 A.M. we serve a full lunch menu with completely on-site, home made hearty meals. Our menu has something for everyone. We even cater off-site to a variety of clients and meetings. The highlights of our meal service is our exceptional "High Tea". Pictured above (right) is a special gathering of 24 guests for High Tea prior to a trip to the Art Gallery. We encourage advance reservations to secure a table and strive to do our best to cater to every guest's appetite and taste.

Each day of the week has a special Feature lunch offering such as Empress' Beef Dip, Canterbury Meat Loaf, Mandarin Chicken, Perogies, and even a special Empress' Burger platter. These features are complemented with either a Soup or Salad.....Home-Made of course, and change during the year, depending on the Season.

After 2:00 P.M. we continue to offer our menu items and Afternoon Tea until 5:00 P.M.
